Explore Our Classes

At National Gymnastics, we offer a wide variety of class programs that will be suited to your children's desires and interests. Almost all of our programs have classes that are held once-per-week, Monday through Saturday, although the duration of the class varies depending on the program and level. Our programs and accompanying coaches will help bring out the best in your children!

Sweet Pea Educational Gymnastics

Founded on the concept of Educational Gymnastics, the Sweet Peas program curriculum focuses on age appropriate Preschool-level gymnastics and tumbling activities that promote many skills such as coordination, balance, core strength, bilateral awareness, and flexibility.

The Sweet Peas program is designed to promote physical, social, and cognitive development in children 6 months to 6 years old. The program is divided into separate sub-programs based on the children's age. The program gives a diverse physical experience in an appropriately challenging but fun environment. By promoting physical, cognitive, and behavioral developmental growth, through Gymnastic floor, bars, beam, and vault programs, your children will develop strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility to empower them and help build fundamental skills as they grow.

Gymnastics

Our Gymnastics program is the bedrock of our Training Center. Using the USA Gymnastics Developmental Program format, our Gymnastics program helps guide our students not only to higher level sophisticated or competitive training, but also helps build balance, strength, coordination, and the confidence needed to love fitness and Gymnastics.

The Gymnastics program is available for girls only, ages 5 to 17 years old. The program begins at Level 1 Gymnastics, and through Level 2 and Level 3, reaches Level 4+ which encompasses many skill levels needed for students to continue in higher level gymnastics or other. We will help your child find an appropriate class at their age even if they have no prior experience in Gymnastics. These levels use all four Olympic-level events: vault, bars, beam, and floor, along with trampolines and tumble tracks.

Tumbling

For Boys and Girls Ages Five and Up

Our Tumbling program builds on skills found early on in Sweet Peas and in Gymnastics, further focusing on floor and trampoline for children looking to further learn and challenge their skills in this area. Utilizing our 60-foot long tumbling track and trampolines, students will learn various skills such as acrobatic coordination, somersaulting, and back handsprings, as well as building core, upper, and lower strength.

Tumbling is available for both boys and girls, ages 8 to 17. The program is divided into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced level classes. A number of skills learned from Tumbling are required for our Cheerleading programs, and can assist in learning Tumbling for Dance skills as well.

Some Beginner Tumbling classes are offered for ages as young as 5. Please first consult our office if your child is younger than 8 years old, and is interested in learning Tumbling.

Trampoline

Our Trampoline program offers quality instruction for helping children learn to jump, flip, and excel at trampoline. Through the program students will learn to perform front flips, back flips and other acrobatics on an Olympic-level trampoline, and will build strength, agility, coordination, and reaction times that can help them at higher levels of Trampoline or in other areas of athletic life.

The Trampoline program is offered to both boys and girls, ages 5 to 17. The program begins in a Beginner course, continuing into Intermediate and Advanced. Within these courses are individual levels that outline the exact skills needed for students to progress forwards, and to help build these skills in a safe environment. Our trampolines are in-ground and are accompanied by a soft foam pit.

Fast Class

FAST Class Fast, Agility, Strength, Technique

Our FAST program stands for Fast, Agility, Strength, and Technique. This is a high-energy class for children who seek more of a challenge. Students will use trampolines, tumbling, and obstacle challenges to help build their FAST skills: their speed, agility, strength, and skill It's fast, and it's fun!

The FAST program is available for both boys and girls, ages 5 to 12.

All-Stars Cheerleading

National Gymnastics has its very own cheerleading program, the National All-Stars Team. This program continues to build off the skills found in our Tumbling program alongside teaching cheerleading techniques to children both new and experienced. Students will be able to learn cheerleading performances and skills alongside a group of other students, helping them learn coordination with others and skills needed for competitive-level cheerleading.

All-Stars Cheerleading is available for ages 5 to 10 at the introductory level, and 9 to 18 at the competitive level. The introductory level class meets once per week like most classes, and is the recommended choice if your children are new to learning cheer. The competitive level of Cheer meets three times per week, requires certain skills from the introductory-level class and Tumbling program, and involves partaking in the competitive All-Stars Cheer Team. Our Cheer Team, upon qualifying, competes in four to six competitions per year. If you would like more information specifically regarding our competitive team, please consult our office.

At The Developmental Level

All of our programs and their skills are supplemented with the aid of floor areas, bars, beams, in-ground trampolines, tumble tracks, double mini trampolines, soft foam pits, and other equipment. Programs are outlined by drills and stations, developed to break down the skills for students to feel a sense of accomplishment and focus on learning and achieving new skills.

Utilizing our equipment along with overhead spotting systems, National Gymnastics is able to protect the safety of our students. Our coaches are trained and certified to teach the programs, placing safety first while helping each student learn and perform as best as they can.
